Your Auction Spear bidder account has been temporarily placed on hold. The Auction Spear security system blocks bidders who do not have any paid invoices yet and have placed an excess number of bids. This is simply a preventative measure to reduce fraudulent bidding. Please call any of the auction companies where bids are placed to verify your account and reinstate your bidding privileges. No deposits nor credit cards are required for verification. Once we receive notice from them, we may reinstate bidding privileges.

FAQ image

FAQ image

Does your site have an "auto-bid" feature where the system will bid for you?

Yes, To have the system auto-bid, simply place the maximum dollar amount you are willing to bid on an item and the system will auto-bid for you up to that maximum dollar amount per the bid increments in our terms and conditions.

As an example

Place a $10.00 maximum bid on an item that has a current bid of $1.00. The system will then incrementally auto-bid up to your maximum of $10.00. Your maximum is only seen by you and other bidders will not know that amount. Once the bidding exceeds your maximum of $10.00 you will receive an outbid notice via email.

FAQ image

The notice said the auction starts closing at 7:00, but I am watching lots close and it's 8:30.

Per terms and conditions, the system is a staggered ending auction meaning, lots close at a rate of 3 lots per minute. The auction does not entirely close at the set time. Lots that have extended bidding are due to bids being placed in the last three minutes prior to closing a lot.

FAQ image

I placed my bids on a lot a few minutes before it the closing timer said it was going to end and then it went beyond that time and more bids were placed by others. What's happening, I thought it was supposed to close at the designated time?

The system will auto-extend the lot another three minutes each time bids are placed in the three-minute window priot to the scheduled closing time. If bidding continues, it will auto-extend until the bidding stops and three minutes have passed. This is designed to mimic a live bid call auctioneer who will continue chanting as long as bidding continues. This is fully legal and complies with all state auction laws.
